If you are looking to get married in one of the most enchanting Upstate New York destinations, you could hardly dream up a better location than the Finger Lakes. Erin and Nick held their Skaneateles Lake Wedding at Mirbeau Inn & Spa and it was, in fewer words, effortlessly stunning. When designing their wedding day, Erin and Nick truly leaned into the natural beauty of the property and made the most of this incredibly hot summer day.
First Look Wedding Photos in the Gardens
It takes a village, and Erin really had the sweetest bridal party by her side the entire day. Nick was so expressive when he first saw Erin (her bridal party watched from the sidelines) and the energy in the air was pure magic. You could feel instantly how excited they both were for the next chapter. Despite having an absolutely gorgeous first look setting, we traveled around the gorgeous property to take more classic wedding couple portraits. There were no shortage of beautiful backdrops.
An Indoor Skaneateles Lake Wedding Ceremony
Despite being a hot day, we were fortunate enough to have the weather cooperate during the first look. Unfortunately, it started to rain before the wedding ceremony so we needed to move indoors at the last minute. The indoor wedding ceremony spot was cozy but true love filled the entire room. As with any outdoor wedding, you always need to consider a backup plan. As a wedding photographer, I was grateful the venue was able to pull together Plan B so quickly!
Outdoor Tented Wedding Reception at Skaneateles Lake
After the ceremony, we moved to their gorgeous outdoor tented wedding reception. I loved the details they used for their reception decor, from the stunning painted vases to the vintage-colored glassware. Not only was the venue beautiful, it truly was full of joy. Erin and Nick arrived for their grand entrance ready to celebrate. Nick came from a large Italian family and everyone was ready to celebrate and dance the entire night away!
